Besides, Kyosuke's CLEARLY (arguably) the best character in the game. As long as your game is perfect with him, he's literally unbeatable.

It's not flawless, and I don't play in tournies or the Arcades anymore. But if you're ever in Augsta, Georgia, try the Augusta Mall. Look for the Tilt Arcade, that's the only place I play now a days, if ever in public.

Actually to be honest I don't really care about the Super Gauge in K Groove. It's a safer way to Parry, and basically JD is used as an extra way for him to avoid hits. And if all you can JD is fireballs you should not be playing this game. I can JD on the ground, in mid air, my timing hardly ever fails me, and if I don't JD I simply end up blocking or I'll out right knock them out of a move. It amuses me to no end listening to people over the net talk about this game, and yet it's just crap because I go out in the arcades and just shit all over people, using the tactics and crap discuss on messege boards. Spamming RC, using cheap chars like Blanka and A Groove Sakura that can use said RC moves. I don't use them, and I'm sure that's half the reason why I get into fights over a simple arcade game. People just get that pissed off. And it doesn't have to be the Arcade. I can fire up my PS2 and stomp any person that picks up the controller. I've had this game and played it since it came out, I've studied into the intricacies of all Grooves and characters. Say what you will........I'm not arguing with you anymore. I've made my point. By debunking yours, which was bashing Shin Gouki. This went from a simple exchange of posts to something more, and you really didn't have to take it down that road. I've no desire to carry this conversation on anymore really because I've done it over and over and over and over other places. *Fires up CvS 2 and enjoys a few rounds*

Lol, same thing I hear every where I go. I would almost say you copied and pasted that from something said on the GameFAQs CVS2 board, blah blah he cant take a hit. Well, lucky for me, my game is flawless. I've lost with Shin Gouki twice in the five years I've played this game. And also, not everyone plays with Arcade settings, though I've still never lost a Shin Gouki with those either. Lol, that's basically what everyone says "He can't take a hit" And they can try to say it a few different ways with different paragraphs, but that's all there is. A good player shouldn't get hit, period. If you can't play Shin Gouki then don't bash him, he's a character only experts can play with and I just love how people who can't play with him call him lame and crap.

Oh, and K-groove S. Gouki ain't the best idea. He only gets appreciable meter from getting hit there, and--well, you can sorta guess why that's bad. Yeah, he gets it from JD, but that's barely anything unless you sit back and hope they spam fireballs all day.

^^^Which nobody does to anyone in K-groove, anyway.

Pfft, all kinds of characters beat S. Gouki for free without RCing anything. I didn't even bring that up, but since you did, some pretty weaksauce characters benefit enough from RC to be decent BEFORE broken.

S. Gouki seems pretty cool at first. He's all kinds of fast, does tons of damage, and can combo things that regular Gouki can't for no reason. He can take advantage of A-groove(which is a good idea) for some guard crushes, but so can most other characters. The problem with him lies mostly in that he can't stand to get hit. Ever. Unless you NEVER get hit, most characters have the ability to run up your stun gauge and knock off ridiculous amounts of life from you, no sweat. The trade-off seems fair at first, but S. Gouki doesn't deal the kind of damage to people's life and stun for it to be worthwhile. Rather, his options for landing that damage aren't as viable as other characters. Like you said, your game has to be flawless to be untouchable. I can afford to get hit if I'm C-Sagat. Even A-Sak lives longer. For S. Gouki to be "untouchable", you'd have to do things like teleport on a whiffed move from mid to full screen(who does that?) and mix up a knockdown or throw. His dp is good. He can pressure from the air. His supers ain't bad. He just won't live long enough to get out of any pressure put on him unless you can hit those wake-up teleports and PRAY that they jump in on you to get dp'ed.

I like to RC taunts. It's fun AND easy.

I wouldn't say he's garbage, but he doesn't touch A-Sak at all. To say that "a master player can literally be untouchable" is more than a tad off because a person with that kind of skill on a BETTER character is gonna beat him.
